Before installing a floor, the substrate, flatness and junctions need review. Removing the existing finish does not necessarily mean removing every layer beneath it. The quotation should explain what remains and what preparation is required.
Tile dimensions, setting-out and joints affect installation. Doors, steps, skirting and adjoining rooms also need consideration. Where underfloor heating is included, the floor build-up must be coordinated with the installation.
Check whether adhesive, grout, sealing, any required waterproofing and finishing details are included. The selected tile or finish should be identified separately when it is not part of the supply.
